Tiny Dancer

Since the moment I found out I was having a little girl, I have been looking forward to this day!
I danced at Massays Dancestar Productions for 9 years, so there was no question where Gray would take dance, and lucky me, they started offering a 2 year old "Creative Movement" class for 2 year olds. Generally they start classes at age 3, and they still don't participate in recital until the 3 year old class, so we will consider this our dress rehearsal year :)
Class is every week for 45 minutes and Gray loves when its Tuesdays and she gets to go to dance. I love that she is in class with several of my friends daughters, so we get a chance to sit and chat while they dance their little hearts out with Ms.Heather.

Our first day!
 "Look at my tutu mom!"
 "Cheese!"
(gotta love the "fake" 2 year old smile!)
"This is what a ballerina does"
 "And then like this"
The girls love playing in the waiting room before class. To be honest, the first day I wasn't sure if she would leave the toys to actually attend class.
 Cuteness!
Caroline thought it was her turn with the mirror...
 Gray had other ideas!
"Mirror, mirror, in my hand..."
"yup, Im still the fairest, right mommy?"
Ms.Heather called the girls to class, and my little lady was off without me (tear), but I am glad she was this willing rather than crying as I tossed her in the room (yes, this was the case for some moms. I am happy to note that those days didn't last long, and today all girls go in without a fight)
Ms.Heather was one of my teachers when I was young, and she is so amazing with the girls. Gray talks about her often.
 Such a brave, big girl!
 Aren't these girls the cutest?

Ms.Heather keeps the door closed, she says that it would just be a huge distraction. So I am not sure exactly what they do for 45 minutes, but there is a lot of giggling, and fun music, and everyone come out happy!
End of the first class

Aren't they all so cute with their news letters and suckers

I think that it would be safe to say that all the girls favorite part is when class is over and Ms.Heather passes out their suckers!

We have now been attending since the first part of Sept. and Gray still loves it just as much. I hope that she will love dance as much as I did! If not thats okay, Ill be a soccer or basketball mom, but I am holding out hope that this is her activity of  choice! (fingers crossed!)
