And then there were birds!

I finished folding all the birds at my parents last weekend thanks to a little help from Joey and my mom. I then took them home added a little glitz, just a tad, and got to hanging. It was a trial and error thing, I'd string a few, hang them, then decide where the next few needed to go and what sizes I needed. It didn't take as long as I thought, and I think end the end turned out great! I love how when the air comes on they ever so slightly spin around, I can't wait for Gray to enjoy them too! Bedding is going to be here tomorrow, Yippy!!!

Adding a little glitter (don't know if you can see it in the pic, I just dotted the center of the flowers) Martha Stewart glitter is the best!! I have a huge kit with like 25 different colors!
Love it!
Close up of the birds. There are two styles, traditional cranes, and an "urban" bird
Spinning around, making shadows, so pretty!
(the walls look REALLY yellow in this pic, they are really green!)
The nursery! I couldn't be happier with how my vision came to life with the tree and the birds!
A HUGE thanks to my wonderful husband who helped make it happen
(with patience, might I add :) )
Still need a few things for this wall to make it complete!
I'll be 34 weeks on Tuesday! I can't believe only 6 weeks left, it will be here before I know it!

The tree is up!!

Before the "lovely" weather that we got this weekend hit, Joey and I enjoyed the sunshine and spent some time outside preparing the tree for its final resting place in Grays nursery...I guess I should say that I watched and Joey did all the hard stuff, but I was there for moral support! Thursday night after a little trimming, and Joey binding the tree tight enough to fit through the window, (yes...I said window, there was no way to get it through the hall with the turns and close quarters) it was finally in the room! It still required a little "hair-cut" but the hard work was done. I had come up with this crazy idea, and wasn't sure how it would turn out, but, if I do say so myself, I think it's pretty awesome!
*For all the moms out there as crazy as I am, don't worry the thing is VERY secure and is not coming off the wall, trust me I asked a hundred times! (The bolts were huge!)
All the decor still isn't up, but thought I would give you a sneak peek at the tree, and the birds that I am slowly but surely getting folded, (getting help from mom tonight) They are going to hang from the tree like a mobile, not a ton, but I'm making a lot just in case! The fabric for windows and closet doors is on it's way, thats my next big project!
Cant wait to show you the final result!!!
Enjoy

I just LOVE the tree!
Fiona has already staked her claim on the chair!
The birds are being made...they will be hung soon!

32 weeks!

Over the last 32 weeks we have been receiving weekly e-mails from a great website updating us on Grays current size/weight.
http://www.babycenter.com/
However, week after week we find it rather amusing the items that they chose to compare the size of your baby to....who even knows the average size of a spaghetti squash?? Gray has been compared to rare items such as a rutabaga, kumquat, and our all time favorite...a medium shrimp! (Joey kept joking "is that a 24-36 count or 36-48?")This week we have a new "strange," Gray is being compared to a jicama, a what you ask??? Well, I didn't know either. Luckily wikipedia came to my rescue and explained that a jicama was a Mexican yam or turnip...
I find it funny that this website can not seem to find anything more common to compare her size to. I'm sure that being pregnant, I find this more strange than the average person, but hey has your kid ever been compared to a Chinese cabbage? :)
This my friends is the current size of my daughter!
Cant wait to see what she'll be next week!! Ill post belly pics later :)

Our first baby shower!!! Got the invite yesterday and it got me all excited, not only for the shower but that Jen is coming back for it! I cant wait to see her!
~
Things are finally getting hung on the walls (not the tree yet, that's this weekend!) and its starting to come together. Please note, it is still a HUGE work in progress, you'll just have to keep watching to see how it all comes together!

30 weeks!

Baby Gray at 30 weeks...and growing

What a WONDERful birthday surprise!

Whats a girl to do for her 27th birthday, while being pregnant?!?....I was fine with nothing, however Joey had a different plan. I am a huge Alice in Wonderland fan (He threw me a Alice themed 21st birthday too!) so Joey got tickets for us, all our friends and parents to see the movie in 3D in the balcony at Warren! It was such a nice surprise. After we went to my parents for pizza and cake, one that Joey had ordered...Too cute! It was such a nice surprise from the worlds greatest husband! Thanks honey!!

Sweet Face

Today was our second attempt at getting 3-D pictures of Gray....and as a birthday present to her mommy she actually cooperated!! I think she is just as cute as can be, but I guess I might be a little biased :) It was also really neat getting to watch Joey, I think pregnancy is such a different experience for mommies and daddies, I think it really was a cool moment for him getting to see his daughter. (I also think she looks way more like him!)
So.....here she is!
