Christmas Morning

Okay, I have to admit that I had the camera out first thing in the morning, then got busy enjoying my lady and stop taking pictures after the first 30 minutes or so. Oh well, I got to be in the moment and see all her excitement first hand and not from behind the lens on my camera, and Im okay with that.  Traditionally we have "Santa" gift time, then load up and go to my parents house to open gifts and celebrate with my mom, dad, brother, soon-to-be sister-in-law and her daughter Nora. This year they weren't able to come home for Christmas, so my mom suggested she and my dad would just come to our house, that was Gray could spend more time enjoying her Santa gifts and not have to rush her and get ready. It was so relaxing just being the 5 of us, but I totally would have traded it for Nick, Ang, and Nora being here!
Gray had been saying that she wanted a Doll House from Santa for months now, so it made his job a little easier, and "he" had her gift ordered and stored away for about a month or so.  Unfortunately "Santa" decided to purchase a Playmobile doll house. Have you ever put together Ikea furniture? Playmobile is like ikea furniture only SUPER tiny! Everything came in pieces, and Santa's "elfs"  had to spend a couple hours getting this little beauty put together!! The look on her face Christmas morning made it all worth it! The she-elf also spent a good amount of time staging each room, only to be destroyed in about 2 minutes by Gray... oh well! :)

Casa de Gray
Guess my Interior Design degree hasn't gone to total waste!
BBQ patio!
Nursery
Kids room
Living Room
Kitchen
I also discovered too late that Santa had sent more of the room sets than the basic house would hold. Guess he needed the floor extender... we will have to get that on order.

Daddy holding Gray in the bathroom until I had the camera ready!
"Oh my gosh, Santa brought a DOLL HOUSE!!!"
"Daddy look!"

Daddy showing Gray all the rooms

And the playing begins....
We actually had to stop her and point out that there was more.
Stocking time!
"New Jammies!"

"My own polish!"
"Wow Dad, theres more!"
Candy Land...she loves this game

Going to check and see if Santa ate his cookies
And thats when the camera got set down and my documentation of Christmas morning ended. We had the best time celebrating Christmas with my parents and out little lady! We are so blessed and are so excited that Boyd will be here to celebrate with us next year too! Merry Christmas little lady, I hope it was everything to you that it was to us! We love you

Christmas Eve 2012

Finally Christmas Eve had come! We always celebrate Christmas Eve at the Sparkmans and this year wasn't any different. After naps we got all the gifts loaded up, took a few pictures in the Christmas dress that Barbara had bought Gray, and headed over for dinner and present opening!  Gray was so excited to celebrate with her cousins.

Sweet Christmas smiles :)

How old does my little lady look? Stop growing now!

I know it totally looks like she is posed this way, but she actually just ended up sitting like this. Model in the making ;)

Gray LOVES her Baba!
Playing with Daddys old train that Baba found..
 and Babas Christmas village
 Time for gifts!
Gray was so excited to get a Vacuum! She looked up smiled and said "Look, now I have a vacuum like Bekkis!" Bekki is our amazing house cleaner that we just love. Mommys issue with this is that I don't think Gray has a clue that the vacuum is actually mine, and I do know how to use it! Maybe I will have to show her one of these days...maybe ;)
 A new play house,
and a wonderful fairy puzzle from Aunt Deane, Uncle Matt, Chase, and Sylas.
Sylas Loved Grays new doll wagon, he hopped right in!
The light saber was a huge hit!
 Grays new tool bench
Finally it was time for Gray, Chase and Sylas to get their big gift from Baba and Papa. We were all so excited to see their faces! I was a little bummed that the weather was yuck so they weren't able to ride them for very long. But trust me they were so excited about their new cars!
 "A yellow hummer?!?"
 The boys new ride!

Gray was sad she had no one to ride with, so she jumped in for Sylas to drive her around a bit
Chase showing the little kids how to drive
 Sweet, sweet cousins!

Christmas Eve was amazing! We always have the best time and I cant wait until next year when Boyd and Baby Sparkman #3 are here to celebrate with us. 5 kids, wow its going to be a party!
Thanks Baba and Papa we love you both so much!

Holiday Dance Party

Time for another great dance party! Man, can these little ladies party! (and man, can the moms whip up some great treats!) Before winter break we had one last class followed by the party. There was some great holiday tunes coming from behind the door, Miss Heather got them all pumped up and ready for sugar, Im thinking that we should have done it the other way around so they could have burned the sugar off!  We took on party favors again, and Gray could not wait to give her friends their holiday chap stick and mini candy canes!
Tomorrow spring dance session starts back up and Gray is more than ready! She loves dance class!!

A mouth full of yummy treats :)

Diana made sure all the girls were outfitted with reindeer ears... too cute!

Gray was not super excited that the "treat" portion of the party was over and it was time for pics...so we had a pouty reindeer for awhile :(
 Framer!!
This girl has the pout down!
She finally got over it and gave me a little bit. Not much, but hey, Ill take it!
 Our sweet friend Caroline
We are already looking forward to the Valentines Day party and many, many more day of dance!
