Dc Trip Day One!

Mom and I have visited DC usually twice a year since my brother moved out the several years ago. We made a trip in Jan. of 2010 before Gray was born and hadn't been back since. The first week of November we (including Gray) made the trip again....it had been too long! Angela and Nora moved out there last May so Angela could work and finish up research for her Doctorate, so we were ready to see them too! It was a fun 5 day trip!

Waiting for our plane to arrive...
Take off!

we got very lucky there were extra seats so Gray had her own!

safety first, buckle up

The first night we were there we took the girls to a mall that had an American Girl store and a Build-A-Bear. I didn't get many pics at the American Girl store...I was too busy chasing Gray around!
Nora and Gray with the new "Doll of the Year"

Nickolas has a Snoopy that I brought him home from the hospital when I was born, ever since then he has loved snoopy. He was so excited when found out Build-A-Bear had a snoopy doll. He decided to take Nora and Gray to get their own. It was so funny, when the lady started the "stuffing machine" Gray flipped out! She did not want that lady touching, let alone stuffing her doll. Nora saved the day by giving Gray her already stuffed doll, and then she got to stuff both :)

Gray kissing the "heart" to put in her doll

Nora stuffing her (now Grays) snoopy

Getting him all stitched up.

Yea for Snoopy!!

Off to dress their Snoopy's!

We decided to get Grays Snoopy denim overalls, Nickolas' Snoopy has been wearing denim overalls for about 28 years now, so I thought it was fitting

"humm...maybe he needs this chair"

"or this car..."

"maybe I should try it out"

Thanks Uncle Nick!!

Leaving the mall we saw this store that had a red carpet...Nora had to take advantage!

Posing for the paparazzi!

Loving Snoopy

Day one was a success!

End of a season...

Sooner Born and Sooner Bred!
The end of another football season is sadly finally here. We may not have had the best season ever, but hey you win some, you lose some. We are still very proud of the Sooners and have had a great time rooting them on. We cant wait for next season....

A year and a half!

Wow! Gray is officially A year and a half old!! Where has time gone?
I think, unfortunately, that Gray has started the terrible twos early. She becomes more opinionated by the day and we hear NO more and more....this too shall pass...or that what I keep telling myself. I also remind myself that I have seen WAY worse and we are lucky that she isn't (and hopefully wont become) more defiant.
Talking is our big thing right now and Gray actually can count to 10. She often forgets "four," but hey, I think shes pretty smart anyway.
You will notice a Pig in the pictures, this is our current side-kick. Pig goes most places with us and has become a funny grayish-pink.
Gray has started singing, and it is the funniest thing ever. I have started being able to decipher some of them, your favorites are Itsy-Bitsy Spider ("bitsy-bisty") and Wheels on the Bus ("roll")
I know that the next 6 months is going to fly by and then my baby will be two...oh geez...

Big Girl!!
"mom, are you done yet?"

"whoa! have you seen how BIG this number is??"

"One, Two, Tree, Five...."

Happy Girl

Cuteness!

Gray, you are growing WAY too fast for Mommy! You are so smart and funny and we love you to pieces. Happy 1 1/2 birthday!

Halloween

After all the fun at the Pumpkin Patch Party we were ready for Monday night and some trick-or-treating! We decided to head out early to beat the crowds and be able to get home and pass out candy.....I may have jumped the gun a bit...no one was out and some people weren't even home fro work yet. Ill remember for next year, but we had a blast anyway!

"alright daddy, lets get this show on the road!"
cool lady
First house!!
"Hi Mimi!!"
(Debbie is my best friend Jennys mom and happened to answer the door at their house)
While we were at the Wrights we decided to take a few pics of the girls
Miss Hadlee
Miss Maddie
Hadlee and Gray
After pics we were off to our next house.
Gray couldn't reach the door bell so thought she'd just try to open the door herself
"mom, no one is home"
"oh well, dad and I will head next door"
Gray had to stope and admire Marys flowers
Gray made out with some goodies from Tom and Mary
"not sure why we put it in here, but whatever"
Finally home to enjoy her treats...
and wait and watch for other trick-or-treaters..
and enjoy a few more treats.
I couldn't get enough of this girls shoes and leg-warmers
Time to call it a day!
We hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween!
