Last year we had such a great time going to the zoo to continue Grays birthday celebration, we decided to do it again this year. We were so excited that the Wrights were all able to join us again too! The weather was perfect and we had a wonderful time.

There have been all sorts of educational booths set up this summer at the zoo, teaching the kids about certain animals. I thought this guy outside the Oklahoma exhibit was just too funny and wanted a pic of the girls with him. The second I sat Gray down it was like Santa all over again! Oh course I still had to snap a pic for memory sake :)

Gray has been obsessed with the giraffes wince she first met them last fall. She talks about Bogie, Ellie, and Sargent Pepper like they are the best of friends. She always want to feed them, but doesn't actually want to do any of the food holding!
Update: This was Grays 4th trip to feed them, and we actually had our 5th trip last week for Grammys birthday, where Gray held the leaves herself!!

The first few times that Gray has fed them was with Grammy and Baba and then once with Daddy while I was out of town. I had not had a chance to feed them and being an animal lover, I was so excited to get to!

One of Grays favorite part of the zoo is the children's exhibit. She loves the petting zoo...a zoo full of exotic animals and my daughter wants to pet the goats...go figure! She also LOVES the lorikeets and loves feeding them!

We had another great birthday trip to the zoo! We are hoping to keep up the tradition and cant wait for our 3rd annual :)
