We were so thrilled when we got our invitation to the Second Annual
Hippity Hoppity Easter Egg Hunt!!
A sweet friend of mine puts together this fun event at Lions Park. It is so fun to see all the kids hunt egg, and it was amazing to see how they have all grown since last year.
Speaking of last year...
Its crazy to see how little she was. It seems like it was just yesterday!
We were a tad early so we got some good play time in.
"Gray go Wee!"
yes, my daughter speaks in third person...
Gray insisted that "Daddy go Wee"
Isn't he amazing? He will do almost anything for his Gray Lady, even though he barely even fit.
"Weeee Daddy!"
"Hi Mommy"
"Hi Audrey!"
Gray was so excited to see her park friend
Look at that pose :)
We were so excited that Aiden came to join us this year. He reminded me of Ferdinand, he was just happy to sit in the grass and smell the flowers.
You are my sunshine!
Someone was doing some serious pacing waiting for the big event to get started
"I think Ill just sit down and rest until Miss Danee says we can get this party started"
She was first up to the starting line
Taking a mental note of the egg placement
A few big kids made their way ahead of Gray but since she had her mental map of the eggs, she was happy to step back
Joey kept joint that the event was more about the photo-ops then the actual egg hunt, I big to differ, but this picture does not help my case....
And their off!!
"yup, run away sucker this ones mine!"
"ooh whats inside?"
Gray wanted to open each one as she found them, luckily daddy was there to help keep her of the right path
"come on daddy, this way"
"this one looks good, now where was the next one on my list?"
"oh thats right, here by the sign"
"holy cow, the eggs are almost all gone!"
"well, guess Ill go sit down and check out my loot"
"this one has Jelly Beans inside"
Aiden really wanted to try some Jelly Beans..
"Aiden, its not my fault that you only got two eggs, you can have a few, but give me back my egg"
"sweet success!"
"one, two, three, five..yup they are all here"
Group pic time!
We had such a fun morning and cant wait until the THIRD annual event!
Thanks to the Easter Bunnys special helper Danee for hosting such a fun day!!
