Play Time, Play House, and Popsicles!

Heres a random assortment of photos from the beginning of the summer. I don't even think its officially summer yet, but we are off to a great start enjoying all the joys that nice weather brings!

A little scooter time waiting for daddy to get home
"Is that daddy? Nope, his truck is white"
"Look at all these things I can stack, sort , and organize!"

Backyard fun in the playhouse!

Cooking in the "kitchen"

"Oh its the sink? I thought it was a mixing bowl!"

Always serving it up with a smile
Time to cool off with our first popsicle of the summer!

NMF5

Back in April Norman held its 5th annual Norman Music Festival. Joey headed up after lunch to hang out with James for a little bit, then after nap, Grammy, Oompah, Gray and I went up to meet him to hang out and have dinner, and enjoy a little music. We happened to park right by the carnival and Gray was so excited to join in the festivities. We weren't sure if Gray would ride any of the ride, but she was all over the games from the beginning!

Oompah explaining how the "pick the duck" game works.
"Gray you just pick one of these, turn it over, and then see if its a winner"
(Note: they were all winners :) )
"Okay Oompah, I think I get it..."
"Please be a winner. Please be a winner"
 "I WIN!!!"
This one one of the first of 5 balls we went home with...
She already had her eyes set on another one
Next we headed over to see if Gray was interested in riding the cars. We ran into our sweet little friend Jay. Doesn't he look like a pro!
Daddy showed up just in time to do a little encouraging...
 "Okay guys Im ready!"
 Buckle up for safety!
Look at her behind the wheel! I am not ready for her to grow up!

"Look mom, its like Im 16!" (sniff, sniff!)
"Oompah, Im done, can I get a lift?"
Love watching these two together. Im a daddy's girl and I love that she love him as much as I do!
Oompah trying out a locally made chair
After dinner we headed to the car, that happened to be through the carnival, so we had to pick another duck and ride the cars again.

 "Another Winner!!"
 Waiting with Grammy
"Gray now remember to drive the speed limit, watch for other cars, and don't text and drive!"
Almost to the car Gray spotted a big kid ride and really wanted to ride!!
"You see Gray, you are still a little too small for that one. Do you understand?"
"No."
"It looks like so much fun!"
"Do I look pitiful enough for you to let me ride?"
"Please guys! I really, really want to!"
Rare photo of Joey and I!
 LOVE him!

Thank NMF for the fun evening!

Eenie, Meanie, Minie, and Mo

I cant remember if I have mentioned the chicks before, but if not, here you go, their very own blog post!
My parents have talked about getting chicks for awhile now, they wanted to have fresh eggs now that they have all the extra space. When Easter came along, Mike and Barbara (my in-laws) decided that they thought it would be fun to get Gray some chicks, to live at my parents that is, Barbara is actually terrified of birds. Strange gift from a person with a bird phobia right?
Luckily Grammy and Oompah were excited about the idea, they figured there wasn't a better time to start their bird farm.
In the pictures below you will notice that there are way more than the 4 chicks that mike and barb bought, my parents went out, and within days and brought their chick total up to like 20 something...honestly, I lost count!
The 4 largest chicks (yellowish in color) are Grays chicks, Eenie, Meanie, Minie, and Mo.
Even months later it is funny how we can still spot them and Gray knows which ones are hers.
Gray LOVES going and feeding the chicks with Oompah every time she is out at their house, she has become quite the farmer.

These pics are pretty early on when there were only 15 or so...and before there was a chicken coupe, and before my dad bought 50+ baby quail...its getting a little out of control! Im just looking forward to the eggs. :)

Okay Oompah, Im ready!
You get the food tray, and Ill fill 'er up!

This is either Eenie, or Meanie, maybe its Minie, or Mo, cant tell from the pic!
Look at all my chicks mom!
 Pour till I saw when...
Good job Oompah, now that the foods back in Ill close the lid

 They must have been hungry!
 Time to get their water.
 Sophie is helping too
 Quick hand rinsing,
 and drying.
Don't worry Soph, I still love you more than the chicks.
Is this not the sweetest picture?

Thanks for the chicks Baba and Papa! I love them, and you! Maybe next year we will talk about that bunny that was at Atwoods by the chicks :)
