Details, details, details!!

Okay people, prepare yourself for another LONG post, and a few more to come :)

I going to start the posts of Grays birthday party with the details. I know to seem it may seem like a tad much for a second birthday party, but its just who I am. :)
I didn't want a single detail to be missed. With that being said, I still think there is a TON more that I could have done or added, but someone (not mentioning any names...Joey) finally cut me off!
I know that the most important part of the party is the Gray and all her little friends had a great time, and I do think that was the case.
Enjoy...more to come soon, after I get through the 450 pictures from the party!
(big shout out to Kristyn who came and took all the pics)

Cupcakes

Cookies made my sweet friend Saradee...she's the BEST!

 The little ladies special cake!

 The play-doh table

I made monogrammed aprons for all Grays friends, but I thought the birthday girls need to be a bit more special!

One of the signs for the art activities!

 The "Art" area

 More food table details

I decided for another dessert to stick with the theme and have the kids create their own ice-cream master piece

After all the art activities and the kids were cleaned up, the storm started to roll in... everyone thought it would just be a quick sprinkle, but then the down-pour came. (later I found out it barely rain anywhere in Norman, just over my parents house, during my daughters outdoor party, when it was time to eat....great!)
Everyone was amazing and just went with the flow. We rushed the food inside and everyone camped out and ate while it poured for about 10 minutes. I am so grateful for my wonderful parents that didn't even worry that there were 12 little ones, and about 30 adults eating all over their living room.
After the rain stopped we were actually able to dry off the kids table and chairs and have dessert outside. Thank goodness, that icing has some serious food-coloring in it, and I think my parents like their carpet the color it is.

Ill be back soon with pics of the actual party!

Today you are Two

Today my Princess, you are two. I cant believe how fast you have become a young lady. I feel like it was just yesterday that I held you in my arms for the first time.
You are amazing, that is the only word that can possibly come, even the slightness bit, close to describe you. You love life, and I am constantly in awe of how you love even the simplest pleasures.

You are always smiling, and are usually in a happy mood. You have your moments, but what two year old doesn't. You aren't a big fit thrower, and I pray that this is always the case :)

You LOVE food, and can always eat. You love fruit of pretty much any kind, hummus, and guacamole
I love that no matter where we eat, or what I fix, you are generally happy and can find something you like.

You love to read books, and this makes mommy very happy! We read throughout the day, but always before bed. Daddy loves to read to you too, but I think you prefer my silly voices.

You go to Mothers Day Out once a week, you love going and seeing your friends, I have to say I think you love snack time best of all!

We go to Gymboree several times a week. You LOVE it! We attend music class, and a play/gym class. We also sometimes go to art class. You have wonderful friends there and you are always so excited to see them.

You talk constantly! (I have NO idea where you get it!) You talk in complete sentences and I love being able to carry on conversations with you. You are always asking questions, and I always try and give you the best answer I have. Its funny the things you ask about, I explain and now you have random knowledge about... I mean what two year old ask where trains are going, and after I explained directions, and bordering states, you now know that the train is either traveling north to Kansas or south to Texas?!?

You are very observant. You are constantly pointing things out outside the window or in a store that take me a minute to see and figure out what you are talking about.

You love being outside. It doesn't really matter what you are doing, as long as its outside you are happy!

You love to help daddy in the garden. You helped him plant this year, and Daddy loved every second of it. You even help pull weeds...earning your allowance young :)

Your favorite part of the day is when Daddy get home. Its the time of day your smile is biggest!

You are in a "Gray do it by Grays self" phase. So independent!

I think you are the cutest lady ever and have the sweetest features:

You give the most amazing hugs and kisses. You will wrap your arms around me and say "you the best mommy in the whole wide world,"  Melt. My. Heart!

We are giving you a big girl room this week. About three weeks ago you flipped yourself out of your crib, and I just couldn't have you sleeping in there anymore! You have been sleeping in your crib like a day-bed, we just decided to go ahead a get you new furniture and move the "baby" furniture out.

You love watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Doc McStuffins. You are such a busy body and nothing holds your attention very long. Im not going to lie, its nice sometimes to have 20 minutes to shower or start dinner, and you be content for the whole time :)

You love to color, paint, chalk and play with play-doh

You are so hard to dress. You have the littlest waist, and no hiney. You can still wear 12 month shorts, but need 18-24 month shirts for the length. I know that the winters are going to keep getting harder, if the pants are long enough they are falling off. I wish it was short season all year!

You love spending time with your grandparent, and man do they LOVE spending time with you!

Hadlee, Benjamin, Jenna and Layla are your best friends. I love that I get to see you interact with them all at least once a week.

You don't mind getting messy, but hate sand in your shoes.  I think it may just be a ploy to get your shoes off...you are not a big fan of shoes :)

You are going to be an amazing big sister one day.  You love helping take care of Reed, Owen and Aiden. You would sit and feed them every bottle if we would let you.

You are so much like daddy, you organize everything. You can spend hours collecting, moving organizing, straightening, and re-situating things. I love to watch you and wonder what is going thru that little mind of yours.

You are a daddys girl!

Your companions are "Pig" and "Gray Blankie." Pig goes most places with us.

You love to sing and dance! You know the words to so many songs, your favs are Twinkle-Twinkle, Itsy Bisty Spider, and Puff the Magic Dragon. You sing in the car almost every time we are in there.  When you hear music you almost always stops to dance, even if just for a minute. I hope you love ballet and other dance classes!

You are our pride and joy and mean more than the world to us. Thank you for making every day better. Thank you for loving us as much as we love you, trust me little lady, thats a whole lot!
I know the years are going to continue to by by faster, but I promise to be there for every minute of it. You are smart, wonderful, kind, beautiful, funny, caring, and full of life and
we love you to the moon and back!
Happy 2nd Birthday Gray
