Christmas Morning

Alright, time to get these final Christmas blogs done, sheesh, its past Valentines Day!

Christmas morning we couldn't wait for Gray to get up so we could see and share her excitement seeing what Santa had left her. She was in the best mood and was just so overwhelmed with all her fun new toys!

Santa came to town!
And he left lots of loot!
Happy, Happy Christmas girl!
This girls heart belongs to her daddy. She loves the weekends when daddy is there to get her when she wakes up.
She had to make sure that Santa ate his cookies and drank his milk!

"Wow..What is all this?!?!"

"Pony stickers, and a rocking pony? I must have been a really good girl!"
She just kept saying "Pony" over and over :)
New bath crayons. Check out our "morning-do"
Taking it all in
Checking out the stocking goodies
Bath goodies were kind of a theme this year. This girl loves her bath and will play in there forever.
New bath-band!
"look mom"
Trying out the new bath whistle
and drum
Then she had to move to her new rocking chair to drum
coloring my new placemat
"come on daddy" She wanted him to color too
The only gift I need under my tree is you little lady!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we headed over to the Sparkmans, as always, for dinner and present opening. It was so fun to see both Gray and Sylas old enough to understand the giving/getting part of Christmas this year. I know Christmas will always be so fun with those two so close in age, and they will always have their big brother/cousin there to help them out.

Watching Papa open his gift
"Oh this one's for me?"
Super Chase!
Gray helping Chase open another gift
Sylas wasn't felling his best, so he hung with daddy
Grays new hat and mittens! (I had told Barbara there was no way that Gray was going to wear mittens, she bought them anyway, and I ate my words)
Super Chase helping Baba
Trying to open gifts with mittens on...not an easy task!
Baba and Papa got Gray this great pink car and she loves it! Of course she had to have an awesome hat to go with.

Chase teaching Gray to drive, maybe he will be willing to help again in about 15 years :)
Of course driving gloves were also a must

As always we had the best Christmas Eve ever..looking forward to may more to come!

19 Months!

Well there went another New Years resolution....but Im back and hopefully will get caught up with these posts! Before I finish our holiday post, I have to go back and document her monthly update. December 16th, before all the hustle and bustle of Christmas, Gray turned 19 months! She is still talking up a storm and has started repeating EVERYTHING! Mommy has to be careful what and how she says things because little ears are never far away! Gray has also started counting (1,2,3,5,7,10,11...she misses a few numbers now and then, but who's counting? Haha get it? :))

Guess what number I am now??
Nineteen Months!!!
See people, it says it right here!
Counting to 19...1,2,3,5,7,10,11...

That says months mommy!
Sweet, sweet Gray we love to to pieces!

Christmas Eve

I have said it before and Ill say it again, I feel so lucky that our families holiday traditions do not overlap and have always allowed us to enjoy both families with out all the stress of figuring out where to go when. The Sparkmans have always done their Christmas on Christmas Eve so we headed on over for dinner and gift opening. This year was so much more fun than years past. Gray really "got" the whole process of opening gifts and giving gifts as well. It was such a fun way to kick off all the fun holiday plans we had scheduled for the weekend.

Patiently watching Papa open one of his gifts.
Now its my turn!!
Super Chase

Christmas Parade!

A few weekends before Christmas, Norman held their annual Christmas parade. It was a little chilly, but after awhile the sun came out and it warmed up. Last year was absolutely freezing!! It was so fun that Gray actually got the whole parade thing, and since there was candy involved...she was in! We ended up staying for the whole 1 1/2 hour parade...again, I think the candy helped!

Waiting patiently with Grammy
Look Mommy its starting!!!
It took quite awhile for the start of the parade to reach us. Thankfully there was a sweet little dog that held Grays attention for a few minutes. Nothing keeps her interest for long these days!
Heading back to my spot...
Holy cow Grammy!! They are throwing me CANDY!!
being the great parents we are...we went ahead and let Gray have a twix...at 10...am...yup, were awesome like that!
Look Grammy more is coming! Wave Hello!
and then we let her have a twisler...
Yumm!
About half way through Gray was given a second bag...great, another bag to fill with candy!
Carrying these two bags is HARD work!
Thanks Norman for the wonderful parade. I love seeing all the organizations and groups that come out to help ring in the holiday. I love this town :)
*being the smart parents that we are we pawned off 90% of the candy to a sweet girl that was standing by us. Gray didn't even notice, as long as she had her "purses" and a few pieces she was happy!
